With indoor wine drinking weather upon us, and our Awesome Autumn pack in full swing, we thought it was well and truly time for another TDL Playlist…
Inspired by artist Mikey Freedom’s (check his work out here) brilliant mural at Brunswick’s Jazzlab for this year’s Melbourne International Jazz Festival, our sixth playlist shines the spotlight on our favourite era of Jazz, 1955–65. Featuring the likes of Dexter Gordon, Grant Green, Art Blakey, Donald Byrd and the legendary Sun Ra, this is a playlist built for lazy days by the fire with great company, the weekend newspapers, some good cheese and multiple bottles of wine.
